We've already spent a lot of time, and shared several reviews that highlight the pros of the DCP707 DeLonghi Slow Cooker, so there really isn't a need for a complete do over here. If you've read the preceding, you are already well aware of the pros of this appliance.
Having said that, I will recap with a few of my favorite things about this slow cooker.
At 5 quarts, it's not too big and cumbersome, but is big enough to cook for a regular sized household.
It's programmable! Get everything ready in the morning, program the unit, and have a meal ready when you get home.
The keep warm setting that lasts for two hours. If you are running a little behind, there is no need to panic. Your dinner isn't getting cold-yet.
Well, I have something of a dilemma here. I like to be very upfront about the cons of any appliance I review. Whether they are just perceived or real. I like to make a purchase decision with all the facts in hand.
The problem is, there really aren't any cons for the DCP707 DeLonghi Slow Cooker. But that's a good thing, not a bad thing!
However, here are a few things that I don't really rate as significant, but others may.
- It doesn't have a stay cool surface.
- The power cord isn't that long.
- Some have complained that due to the shape of the unit, it takes longer to cook then a round or oval shaped slow cooker, but as far as I can tell that's an opinion and not based on any actual data.
